Happy Thanksgiving!

 

HAPPY THANKSGIVING


In Canada (my homeland) thanksgiving arrives on the 2nd Monday in October -- in my opinion a nice safe distance from the December holidays and at least enough time between epic feasts for a proper attempt at a recovery.  I'm not complaining though, after over 15 years in the U.S. I've learned to love and look forward to this holiday -- great food, great people and a time to reflect on everything to be thankful for in our lives. 

What really excites me is the shopping holdays that follow --  Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and the incredible deals that retailers roll out (Slickdeals.net anyone?).   My  past clients will vouch for my, ahem, frugality and *love* of the amazing deal, and how it tends to inadvertently end up in our real estate discussions.  While real estate won't be dramatically discounted for one day only, there are many foreclosure, short sale and conventional deals that are priced at discounts greater then what BestBuy, Target or Staples could ever offer.
